Kids Club
Your Child’s Future, Your Peace of Mind
Kids Club provides two main benefits for your child’s orthodontic care:
- Establishing a relationship with an orthodontist: Dr. Prestwich can answer any questions you may have about teeth alignment, bite issues, and jaw development, and can monitor permanent tooth eruption to catch potential issues early.
- Following the guidelines of the American Association of Orthodontics: It’s recommended that an orthodontist screen every child by age 7, and Kids Club helps us adhere to this important milestone.
Kids Club members typically visit us every 6-12 months for a quick check-up. This ensures we begin treatment at the optimal time for the best results.

What If My Child Is Older Than 7?
If your child is over the age of 7, it’s still a great time to schedule an evaluation. Every child’s development is different, and Dr. Prestwich will create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your child’s needs.
Things to Watch For in Growing Children
While monitoring your child’s growth, keep an eye out for any of these common signs that may warrant an orthodontic evaluation:
- Early or late loss of baby teeth.
- Difficulty chewing or biting.
- Mouth breathing.
- Jaws that shift or make sounds.
- Speech difficulties.
- Biting the inside of the cheek or roof of the mouth.
- Facial imbalance or asymmetry.
- Grinding or clenching teeth.
